Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have been reportedly linked with the Spanish Club. The Blues Boss has commented on this speculation.
Antonio Conte insists that Chelsea should not sell Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois if they want to compete for trophies in the future.
Thibaut Courtois is reportedly willing to join Real Madrid, while Hazard’s father fueled the speculation over the attacker by claiming that his son had rejected a contract extension at Chelsea amid continued links with the Spanish club.
However, Talksportandhealth gist understands that Eden Hazard, who has more than two years in his current contract, the club has not offered a new contract.
“We are talking about two important players for us,” said Conte.
“It will be very important to continue with this type of players, especially for their ambition to try to compete for something important.
“It’s important to try to build and improve your team, strengthen and not sell the best players.”
When asked if Courtois could be looking to move to Spain to be with his family, Conte said: “I do not know about this.
“When you’re in a big club and you trust the project, you want to stay in. I think the family should not be a problem.
“This is a private conversation between the player, the agent and the club.
“If you ask me, I’m sure he’ll stay.”
Antonio Conte also dismissed speculation about the future of Eden Hazard as a “private” affair and says he is “proud to have Hazard” on the Chelsea team.
“My answer is always the same,” Conte added. “This is a private discussion between the club and the player and the player’s agent.
“The same thing is for Eden Hazard, I am proud to have him in my squad and to work with him.
“He’s a good guy and he has a lot of room to improve and become one of the best players in the world.”
“But on this subject, I repeat, this must be a private conversation.”
